How to transport your own cake

Transporting a cake can be stressful, but knowing these tips, you’ll be able to transport cakes of all sizes safely even if you only have a small car.

We’ll go over some tips of traveling with cakes, so you can reach your destination without damaging the cake.

In terms of pick up, here are some instructions below:

When you arrive at the bakery, we have a large parking lot behind the building, street parking is available as well.

Head over to the front of the bakery. (You will not need to stand in the normal line)

Walk up to the prepaid window (This window is inside the patio next to the side of the building)

Please let our staff know the name the cake will be under and that you're here to pick up a wedding cake.

Here are some tips:

• May we suggest a minivan, SUV or any vehicle that had great space in the back. (Sedan is not recommended for larger tiered cakes)

• Make sure the car is clean/clear of any objects that could possibly bump or fall into the cake and potentially damage it.

• Don't leave the cake facing direct sunlight in the car.

• If you're traveling far, leave the A/C on high and make sure the inside of the car is not hot.

• You will need a flatbed trunk so the cake has a flat surface to rest on.

• If you're worried about the cake moving around, bring a yoga mat to place the cake on top of.

• Do not slam on the brakes while driving, this could force the cake to slide from the momentum. Smooth and steady is what you're looking for.

• Do not carry the cake while only holding the sides, always have a hand in the middle of the base to support the cake.

• Just FYI, tiered cakes do not come with boxes. The boxes themselves can ruin the cake so we do not use them.
